Just 2 minutes drive from our house, you have this little garage for reparing bicycles, and I have seen this a hundred times, from my car and today I was so 'brave' to go to this garage and ask this man if I could make a picture. If you are familiar with my portfolio, you can see I have never people in it. I find this difficult to ask.

The more you take these kinds of pictures the easier it is to ask...what's the worst that could happen...they say no? (Or maybe sic their dog on you...LOL) Actually, I think most people are amused, pleased or even perplexed when you ask to take their picture.

You did a great job with this....GOOD FOR YOU!!!

I sympathize with you, there are so many interesting people that I would love to photography, even walking down the street, but much like you the courage often escapes me - you give me hope that one day I will work up enough courage like you did.

Thank you, Zsolt Eori Szab, John Schrum, Howard, Ellie, maria pia guerrini and Francesco for your nice comments.

Linda, I don't feel at ease asking, but I am glad I did. I will learn. But I am not afraid for dogs. (sol)

Wojtek Ziemkiewicz, Like Linda said it was worth trying, because the man was very proud and surprised. You can see it he is realy posing.

You amaze me, you still can find all the color and include a person! Wonderful capture, real character.

Heerlijk portret, mooi in vlakken gevangen man. Misschien niet bedoeld maar wel aardig is het slot aan de deur, hij heeft zijn armen over elkaar, wat ook vaak een beetje afsluiting duidt (ouderwets woord, he). Hopelijk gaat alles goed, ziekenhuis enzo.

Heb Lofts centjes ontvangen, lens staat klaar.

People pix are not always easy, but now you know you can ask and should definitely do more. this is very good. street fairs can be an interesting place for people shots. Mister Ken
