Nice work Jim... hard to rate any of it as you are definitely showing off far more than just your camera skills.

The demon girl idea is good, and the photo of her and the manipulation done to her, etc. are nice. However, I think the image would be stronger with a plain red or orange or yellow background. To me, the red sky with yellow clouds and the crust of the planet below her is distracting. I'm sure you have some symbolism in mind while creating this image, but I think you've sacrificed to strength of the image to achieve that symbolism.

Well, I could rate almost all the angels about the same way, but... I'm tired... This picture still is the one that strikes me most, and this is why:

1) The expression is fantastic !

2) The body position is great.

3) wings are fun.

4) The ground is most interesting, and I somehow disagree with the person who found it distracting... To me, the model's face still rules the image, and the crust is just fine to add drama to the image...

5) I also disagree very much about the idea of having a plain background: heroic fantasy images have always been on skies, so was that all wrong for 5o years ?...

Now I still have a little objection and it is for the sky: I wouldn't complain about having a sky as background at all, but maybe not exactly THIS sky... Why not ? Because I find it artificial, it feels very much like a heavy "photoshoped" sky... A sky with many smaller clouds, with still a bit of blue amidst the sunset tinted clouds would have been my best bet (and slightly blur of course)...

No matter what, this is just for the sake of having a discussion, and I really like this image as it is too... Wonder how it got you such a poor rating...
