Shrine of the headless godess

gauthier

Tea toned cyanotype, contact printed from a 8x10 negative made with my 100+ years Seneca view camera. This scan was done while the paper (Cartiera Magnani "Acquerello" 280 g) was still somewhat humid. The print is 100% grainless, but the paper texture is somewhat exagerated in the scanning and sharpening process.

Shot on Ilford HP5+ @ f/45 for 8 seconds (the sun was setting and the light was low, HP5+ needs a lot of reciprocity compensation and the old lens is sharper when stopped down a lot).

I love the image itself, but the crop feels a little funny...sort of like I want to chop a bit off the right side to put the frame into more standard proportions. I think doing so would boost the overall movement within the frame.
