I like the bookend look of the kids, but something about it doesn't

feel right. What could I have done differently on the scene to

compose this better? I've already cropped it in a bit, and converted

it to monochrome, but it's still boring.

Well at first glance, I'm finding myself wondering if there are any other people on the outer two spheres. I think you might try cropping those outter two spheres and leaving the photo centered on the activity of the two boys. It's a shame, though, if you did, you'd lose that fountain spurt on the left.

tighter crop works better. It would have worked even better for me if the two subjects in the foreground were just silhouettes. Nicely caught the atmosphere though.
