advancedphoto 0 Posted September 18, 2004 Tiago, thank you for your kind comments. These shots were taken after sitting on the porch smoking a cigar and looking at the hills through a water glass and thinking "that looks interesting". The concept has now grown into a project of making LARGE ice cubes and photographing them as the melt. Link to comment
takemyjazz 0 Posted September 18, 2004 I've been looking through all you portfolio and I can see you're a great photographer. I really liked the Frozen Food Section too. I love the lighting in all your pictures and I wonder what equipment you use for lighting. Link to comment
advancedphoto 0 Posted September 18, 2004 Tiago, thank you for the compliments. As to lighting, all of the photos shown on PN are either existing light or 5000 degree Kelvin slide sorting tables by Gagne, they are great for still lifes and cheap compared to "actual" studio lights. There will be some shots uploaded soon that are done with an interfit 1300 watt flood with a glamour reflector, again bargain priced by comparison. My big lighting system, for commerical studio jobs and portraits (none of which are shown here) consists of 4 Balcar 1600 Watt Second Monoblocks.Best regards,Brent Link to comment
advancedphoto 0 Posted September 18, 2004 One of my favorites from "In Awe of Ice". The saturation, lines and abstract qualities just appealed to me. Link to comment
