Great shot. I wish we could see just a little bit more of the beach. too bad the fright foot is cut off.

Candice. Since you have decided to make a big deal out of my rating, i figure i should respond to your comment. You have some excellent photos in your children folder but this isn't one of the best. There is just nothing special about it and the flash shadow gives the impression that it is just a well-posed snapshot. There is no real contrast/depth to the shot. Maybe i will raise my rating to a 4/4, but only because you questioned my sanity. . . . . Regarding how i rate photos here: i guess i do give out a lot of 4 ratings. average/fair does not mean "bad" it just means "okay". If you are posting here then you should at least have an idea about what you are doing - or trying to do. If i see something that makes me say, "wow," then i'll give it a 5. I'll even give a 5 or higher for originallity just if i see that you are trying something different, having a different viewpoint, etc. If you take a snapshot, it's a 4 (most of the time) because snapshots don't require much creative thinking. I'm not an expert and I personally think that most of my work is a 5 or a 4. I don't think it makes anyone a better photographer/artist when you get a 5 or 6 on something that is just average/fair. For me the three people who rated this photo a 6/6 are the crazy ones - but everybody has thier opnion.
