very nice and good topic. IMHO, im agree with the standard and classic rules for this shot... means,,to centered, the trees take too much space in this composition. maybe from another angle... good first 8 uploads. Waiting to see more.

you might been right with the centered position, but the trees also symbolize the distress of the child...
