Pristine

ian cameron

This was taken on a perfect winter afternoon in the foothills of the mightily impressive An Teallach range near dundonnell in Scotland. The intense azure blue sky was cloudless with the exception of this wisp of cirrus forming a tick over the highest peak. The shadows have reflected the sky colour accentuating the chill and are complementary to the colours of the yellow and red tufts of grasses poking through the pristine snow. Please have a look at the latest images in the various galleries on my website.

This is the landscape version of a previous download. The shadows

are very blue reflecting an azure sky. I opted to leave as is rather

than filter it out with an 81B. The photograph was taken in the last

rays of oblique afternoon lighting and has revealed the snows texture

and painted the sunlit snow in a complementary golden light.

Please take the opportunity to visit Timecatcher.com for some more

wonderful lanscape shots.

The shadows most certainly were. However the sunlit snow should be pure white heading towards a light straw colour. By the way this is a very accurate match on MY monitor to the Velvia slide as viewed on a light box.
