micheleberti 0 Posted September 16, 2004 Eccezionale! Oltre ai piani che si ripetono sfumandosi all'infinito la cosa che mi piace pi e che a mio modo di vedere caratterizza in modo particolare questa foto 蠬a varietࠤelle sfumature di marrone: ottima, davvero ottima. Link to comment
peta 0 Posted September 16, 2004 Very muted but that is what I love about this...a beautiful mood it evokes. Think this is one of my favourites of yours! Link to comment
bentes_world 0 Posted September 17, 2004 The eyes are going from the bottom and up .. and up .. and up ... it seems that this beautiful landscape has no ending .. marvelous. Make me think of the fairytails where there somewhere behind the 7 mountains always is going something on .. but here it is going on right in front of my eyes ... this must be the land behind the 7 mountains. jayme 0 Posted September 17, 2004 The rich browns and gradual dark to light shading in combination with the layering is stunning. Beautiful and breath taking to behold. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 17, 2004 Man i gotta open a huge can of worms here. Been seein all these D100 shots and the ratings that go with them, then comparing to my F5 and considering firing it in the trash...Some guys see the name Igor and start pilin on the 7's with hardly looking at the actual photograph. Not that they are not nice...they look superb, as does this....from a distance. This pic has me pullin that F5 back into service. Its apparent by all the comments sayin 7/7 that the trend is to see the dreamy quality associated with these high end digitals and to automatically press that 7 button. In reality this pic suks when u take away that foggy watercolour effect...theres hardly any detail and the contrast is unatural. As for originality many similar shots (all digital) exist on here...just change the colour flavour. Well from last weeks POW its very apparent that nobody really looks much beyond the candy coated outside on here anymore. 4/4 Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 17, 2004 Interesting shot. First impression was of a paint by numbers from days gone by. Would be great to see in person but not as photo rating perfection. Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted September 17, 2004 Francesco, I like the multi-layer of the scenery and the earthly tone, but somehow it doesn't, "light my fire." Just me. As for Paul Greenwood comment, you have to understand where he's coming from. You can read about it HERE (see my reply.) That should answer your question and put things in perspective for those who might come across this matter. Link to comment

henrimanguy 0 Posted September 18, 2004 I like the gradation of the light on the hills, less the colours. Link to comment
jos www.inpix.biz 0 Posted September 18, 2004 I like how each hill reduces itself with less trees into the distance and therefore less detail, wonderful tones also! Link to comment
gaetanchevalier 5 Posted September 19, 2004 The composition is superb and the light beautiful. Bravo! Link to comment
