cortes1 0 Posted September 13, 2004 Comments are welcome. It's a small jellyfihs (less than 5 cm) taken in the Philippines last Easter. Link to comment
stefaan_kiebooms1 0 Posted September 13, 2004 Just wondering: were you using the internal flash? It looks like only the the bottom of the jelly fish is illuminated but in this case it enhances the picture big time! Link to comment
cortes1 0 Posted September 14, 2004 Hi Stefaan, In photography I'm a beginner and I don't have an external flash yet, then apart from the camera flash I use a torch to take photos. In this photo the most difficult thing was to focus the jellyfish which was tiny and it didn't stop moving. I have another similar photo which I like more (probably I'll put) but with the torch lightning the top. Sometimes to use the torch instead the flash it is not so bad, but on the whole it is much better the flash. Thank you for your comment, Mikel Link to comment
johannes_felten 0 Posted September 19, 2004 Interesting subject and lovely colours. Any built-in camera flash is bad news for underwater photography because of the particles in the water which will reflect the light right back to the camera. If your torch can give you enough light you are probably a lot more flexible with it. However, judging from your excellent sense of composition and lighting, you will have to get an external flash eventually, to get the most out of your shots. Keep up the good work. Link to comment
