My 'person' gave 1/1 but in this moment she has not 1/1, she had 43 1/1 but now all her ratings has changed. Well, no problem, better for PN, we need fair play.

i can hardly believe this "person" rated low purposedly.

she is a great photographer and a very nice person, as far as i know.

it is true that since jean told us about her, all my 1/1 ratings have disappeared too.

but, previous to this "1/1 affair," this person had rated me high on other photos.

so, i guess either it's a bug, either it was an error she made when giving ratings.

anyway, again, i can't believe she did that on purpose, and i'll keep on browsing her very nice portfolio.

only my two cents.

thanks.

Nice mood but I found it a bit busy on the dock (probably because of the handling and the lamp....)

I totally agree with you about Sarah talent,I've been also high rated here once in a while and I confirm she is such a good photographer, that's why I said i was absolutely surprised about what they have reported to me and what "at the beginning" I could realized, first of all I got to say that everybody has the own taste and so people could not appreciate my image and they have all the reason to give me low rating, but you know that in this case 1/1 makes me think that there are hidden reasons. In the meantime the famous 1/1 disappeard,I start thinking that was due, like you said,to a computer bug!Best Regards.Guido

You are an artist - another excellent one from you. Moody, dreamy, perfect colors and composition. I would not crop at the left side, but I would try to clone out the lamp pole (?) on the right. Regards, Carsten

I come late on this picture, that certainly deserves a comment, and opens a debate on rating...

Obviously, your shot is a very nice one Guido, and rating "3/3...below average"...without any comment is as ridiculous as 1/1...I am new here, and have already "suffered" of same attitude and been confused by rating in all directions !

anyway, there is nothing to win here, isn't it, except friendship (I hope...but I may be a "dreamer") and some exchanges, experiences...

Then I come to my rating and I explain, otherwise there is no exchange, no learning from each other...and finaly "complimenti" but no further improvements, no?

Then I think your shot deserves 7 in originality, because not so often we see such result in fog conditions !

Aesthetically speaking, the whole results is absolutely beautiful to look at...IMHO it may be even better, and I fully share the 1st comment of Pnina : crop a little too wide on the left (shadows on top left distract the viewer), and a little too wide on the bottom : consequently the main subject is too much centered and loose power (IMHO)...for this I rate 5...not to say that your picture compared to others rated 7/7 do not deserve as much...certainly it does...just to say that your work is great, but can even be better, outstanding...

Sorry Guido, I jump on your picture as an example, I think the same for a lot, starting mine's (!!!)...and considering the number of ratings already accumulated on your beautiful image, my 5/7 will change nothing...it will all the more change nothing because I will not register this rating ! so for now, this is a comment only...

If you disagree this approach and analysis, please, tell it to me...because for me It was in a positive mood - and keep on the good work!

I wish every pn members would be like you, your's is a deep analisys and I certanly respect your opinion, because is a costructive criticism. You are right about the central subject but I couldn't move from that spot otherwise I would've been in the water. For the other point I understand what you mean but I left the trees as they were to accentuate the sensation of fog.Regards.Guido
