Crushed Cans

Marvelous idea; I wish I'd thought of it. Myabe a bit too grainy. I wonder how a real shiny effect would come off.

I'm fairly new to PS Elements II. Still kind of feelin' my way around. I may have used a little too much USM? Not really sure what you mean by a real shiney effect but I'd love to try it if you explain further.

I'm not much of a critic, but I think this photo is very cool

Love it. There's just the right amount of colour to silver ratio - if you understand what I mean. Wish this was one of mine!

It was initially so abstract that I didn't identify the subject matter in the thumbnail...looked like a painting.

 

Larger, it still took a moment for the cans to click.

 

I like the fact that the Squirt can and maybe a Coke can are BARELY identifying themselves. Just a touch of reality, like yours here, makes all the difference to photo abstraction :-)

 

Print it BIG, at least 12X16. Frame it under glass, hang it prominently. It's a knockout.

 

Does anybody ever suggest that painters avoid brushstrokes? Grain's conceptually identical. Dig it.
