Al, simply and purely another masterpiece. What I find most interesting is the tension between the present tranquility and the suggestion that all of this will soon change. For now, I will enjoy this moment...

Absolutely incredible. It looks like it's been heavily tweaked (water particularly) but regardless of method, it's a beautiful piece.

Both perfection and imperfection can make beauty, altough only imperfection can make charm =)

That's what I think about this image. It's simply too perfect, everything is placed at the right place, the reflections are perfect, water perfect, etc.

That gave you the comment about being "computer generated" I think, because computers normally render things "perfectly", and give them an unreal look.

I think this photo could create a great discussion as POW

This is certainly a very attractive and intriguing picture, - one that very many people would be very happy to hang on a wall in their house........But,...it doesn't quite look like the photographs that we have grown up with.....I think we are moving into a new era of modified photography here...I am certainly not against that....Art moves on....Good!.

Fantastic composition-the position of boat and sail are perfect and balance out this picture beautifully. I love the range of tones and blues found in this shot, as well as the manipulated reflection. Congratulations!

To me the jewel in the photographer's casual pics folder is the "kids on pontoon after flooding", definitely not this one. This one, especially with the manipulation, looks 'pretty' at best. 7/7? Get a grip... If you want to see a brilliant photo by this photographer, check out his entire portfolio.

Excellent.. and as for the ps work there are many comments..you have balanced it well against the natural..and thats good. Im sorry but i cant see the arguments that a computergenerated photo isnt "real"..its sad to see that some people still think you dont work well unless somethin is shot with all natural settings and its in the way for moving art..There should be a place for both because they are both equal...best regards --willy--

It is a nice piece of art. Graphic art. Derived from an original photo, the most striking feature is a computer geeration. The new era is here. What should we call it?

I don't want to justify myself. Here are the elements for some. I hope to join the original scans in the near future. Some of you are so sure that the pic is computer generated. If so, please may I have a copy of the software; I don't have it (not even Bryce). It's also outstanding to see how some people have never seen something alike in there life.... so they think its computer generated!!! Well, lets all rejoice! such beauty does exist. As I added before, the picture is origianl in EVERY PART. I only exaggerated the reflection of the sky, by adding the inverted sky on the oringinal water. As a good eye can see, the reflection of the sky is not as the reflection of the mast. Thats all (the blue comes from Kodak slides I won somewhere... with very saturated colors, complain to Kodak). For sceptics, I add that this pic had been taken at Ile de Sein west point of France, in the evening, with a very limpid sky. Thanks for all the comments...AM

This is a very fine photo, I don't think it's computer generated at all. There might be some touch up, but remember Remember Ansel Adams said that ? The negative is the score and the print is the performance. Ansel Adams recreated in the darkroom different prints for his negatives. Now we have digital darkrooms and there is more room for creativity, imho.

Congratulations on a great photo. Regards.

Al:-a nice image, and frankly I don't care if it was manipulated or not. A nice image is just that and if you did it/not did it is just immaterial. The concern that many express about layers and such hoopla is just a bunch of hooey. The only time I make remarks about manipulation is when its POORLY DONE. This image would be nice, small or large, hanging on somebody's wall. Keep up the good work and effort.
