jmcconnell2 0 Posted September 8, 2004 Fantastic, sharp and clear, and the color is perfect, 7/7 Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 8, 2004 Lively colors ... very sweet photo. Large format is awesome. I wish I were smart enough to use it. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 9, 2004 But almost never this well! I like the above the road perspective, that really sets it apart form the winding road in the woods theme. The technical merit boosts the asthetics to a 7, the original perspective gives an old theme new life. The sun from the left/front really makes the color in teh trees glow, super nice job on all aspects. Link to comment
jmontgomery 0 Posted September 9, 2004 Gosh ... what can one say? This is great! Maybe there will be a run on the 4x5's in the camera stores! Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted September 9, 2004 Bobby, To the above positive comments I will add that I think the success of this shot is, in large part, due to the dramatic side-back lighting that sets the foliage aglow. Wise decision. Actually, Michael said virtually the same thing but I missed his comment first time around. Best, LM. Link to comment
derek_scott 0 Posted September 9, 2004 This is such a great shot, it gives me the feeling I am there, breathing in the mountain fresh air and soaking in the fall colors. Link to comment
johnorr 0 Posted September 9, 2004 Bobby, your work and Igor Amelkovich both keep me using film more so than my digital gear. Medium and large format film beats any digital camera images hands down. Although 35mm and the 8MP are close, the tonal range and film characteristics of certain films are more enjoyable to my eye. Thanks for sharing this incredible image. Link to comment
andreas_weber1 0 Posted September 9, 2004 This is extremely beautiful! Perfect lines! Perfect colours! Perfect sharpness! Perfect scene! Large format really has the IMPACT! Thanks for sharing! Link to comment
learsi 0 Posted September 10, 2004 I have only seen these places in my dreams. It is hard to believe It exists. Besides the composition and colour, it is an artistict view of nature. Link to comment
scottamy404 0 Posted September 10, 2004 Absolutely stunning. I really like the way the split rail fence leads you into the photo. I just cancelled a trip to colorado on September 24th because I decided it was too close to the day our first child is supposed to be born. I'm dying to see Colorado in the fall. - Scott Link to comment

photo86 0 Posted September 10, 2004 This comment goes for all your pictures. Every photo you take is crystal clear and at the very best exposure possible. You take great shots and makes me feel like I was accualy in the landscapes that you shot. You don't use ordinary film camera's do you? Link to comment
whatever11664877177 0 Posted September 11, 2004 Wow...! I don't often see a 7/7, but this is one. Spectacular in all regards! Link to comment
moreno_broccon 0 Posted September 11, 2004 Very beatiful colours. Why the fence is so made? Any particula reason? Bye Link to comment
Coho 2 Posted September 11, 2004 How much does the Toyo 4x5 weigh and what is the cost involved per image including film and development but not scan? Typically how much time involved for development of film? Link to comment
ethan_lewis 0 Posted September 11, 2004 I have never seen a photo that came so close to what the eye (my eye, at least) sees on a fall day. That is...just...wow... I think I'm going to start saving money for a large format camera. When I saw that it wasn't manipulated either...that's the real kicker. There is some stunning work on this site done by other photographers with photoshop but this trumps all of them, IMO. I didn't know film was capable of this. Link to comment
kent rönnqvist 0 Posted September 11, 2004 simply amazing..would be interresting to see a winter shot from the same spot. Link to comment
