I think this is my very favourite holiday "snap" of the year, my 7

year old playing in the waves, but everyone else in the family just

gets that frozen smile / glazed look when I show it to them...am I

completely barking mad, or are they simply philistines? You decide!

Well, I like this shot, but I think the subject is 'lost' between the blurred foreground and the background. I'd have used a longer lens, or maybe a cropping would result in a better image. Anyway you freezed the action and caugth the moment perfectly. Sorry for my english, regards

You may want to consider, Graham, in tightening the frame on this very pleasing shot. This is subjective, of course, but to my view the shot is more about the boy and the immediate surroundings than about the scope of the water versus the boy. Tightening the focus by getting rid of a good portion of the top and bottom, IMO, enables the viewer a better view of the boy's expression of anticipation.
