petejr 0 Posted September 8, 2004 Jay, your handling of the light here is masterful. And the translation to B&W works very well. A superior photo. Link to comment

zbbrox 0 Posted September 19, 2004 This a a greate shot, Ray. 7/6 from me. It has wonderful detail and a wonderful range of grays. Thanks for your comments on my face in the sand. I am just getting started as a photographer and beginning to get to know the importance of things like tonal range (and the importance of lighting in producing the wanted affect.) I completely undertstand your comment on lost detail. I have a new photo recently taken entitled river, and in my mind it is my best photo yet. If you care to look at it, River, I would appreciate any comments. Even if not, thanks again for the constructive comment. Link to comment
schneekranich 0 Posted September 21, 2004 That's really funny, I haven't seen yours yet, so I'm happy you commented on mine - bw works good here, the textures are really fine! Link to comment
