vincetylor 0 Posted September 9, 2004 This location with these trees is indeed quite a photogenic find. I can see why shooting this more than once would be a priority. Your composition here is excellent, reflection and detail is perfect. (Perfect reflections are not that easy to get in my neck of the woods). While I do like these softer, darker cool colors here, I would also like to see this fired up a bit with some reds, yellows etc. Perhaps you already have some of those on your website? My only other suggestion would be to try using a dark border rather than the white. I believe it might add just a bit of richness to your presentation. Just an opinion. Very nice work! adamburton 0 Posted September 9, 2004 Thanks very much all. To answer the question about location, it is the New Forest in England. Vincent, thanks especially for your detailed comment. I have a few different ones from here, but unfortunately none (as yet) with any yellow in. The reflection is always at its stillest at dawn when the sky is less yellow (as opposed to sunset). However, next Winter I will be back to this location many times to try a few more shots, and hopefully try to capture the colours you suggested. Thanks very much,Adam. Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted September 9, 2004 Excellent shot, like the others of the same subject you have already posted. I am just a bit disappointed that they are all from the same view point. Link to comment
adamburton 0 Posted September 9, 2004 Unfortunately there really isnt another viewpoint that works of these trees. Even though they appear to be nicely lined up, in actual fact they are all different distances from the camera. The middle tree is closest, next the tree on the right, followed by the one on the left, which is about 30 foot behind. Adam. Link to comment
