Dodging and Burning Tips?

This is an "unfinished" photo and I'm seeking advice on an effective way to dodge and burn this in order to maximize it's potential. I love the perspective here, but my PS skills are rather limited. I've yet to master fill flash (new camera) either. As is I like this photo, but think I could improve it through post-processing. Any suggestions?
