mick_foote 0 Posted August 27, 2001 Hazel is a stunning model and fun to work with. Lighting was tricky and I did not get the result I wanted right off the bat, so Photoshop was used to give it a little more. I know that might upset the purists but I strive to acheive an image which is sometimes beyond my photographic capabilities, so I call on my other talents to help me create, as you will see from my other works (if you are interested) I do not set out to misslead only to acheive my goal using whatever it takes. The skill is knowing how and when to stop. This is a skill I hope I demonstrate. Quote Link to comment
GerrySiegel 868 Posted August 27, 2001 I prefer the portrait of Ingrid. I like your sense of humor in some of your other work. Now as to Hazel High Key. Well, if it were a print coming up in the developer, being from an old school I'd say give it double the time on the timer for the next exposure. This is high key like the last scene of the mother ship light blaze sequence in Spielberg's Close Encounters last reel. I just wonder if you wanted that effect. Personally I would choose more detail in the face and a greater range of values. That's me.(Like I have a choice of identity:-)) Thanks for opportunity to critique your Hazel.
