WJT 653 Posted September 4, 2004 Hi Mark. This is a very good photograph. There seems to be some sharpening artifacts along the abdomen which detract a bit from an otherwise clean capture. They appear as a slight halo along the perimeter of the insect's body and legs. Regards. Link to comment
mbb 0 Posted September 4, 2004 Hi Walter. You are right - there is a halo. But it might be from resizing as I am looking at the original and I do not see it. Yes I sharpened the photo as I do not use in camera sharpening at all and yes I sharpened it before resizing - keep forgetting that I might use it as a small image :(. Thanks. Best regards, Mark Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 17, 2004 I have great respect for your work Mark. I do have one suggestion that I thought I'd share, not intending to "teach grandpa how to suck an egg" though! ;-). I just shifted the histogram to the left a tan. Thought it could benefit from it. Link to comment
bens 0 Posted October 1, 2004 so many good things here. the off-center (vertically) composition, the delicate rendering of the wings, the ability to even capture this, the contrasting bright orange against the dull bluish gray. masterful work. Link to comment
wallbanger 0 Posted December 3, 2004 well this image is perfection. I just wonder what lens you used here?. Very unique a classic in fact. Link to comment
