stchan 0 Posted September 2, 2004 Sean - I don't know if it's compression artifacts making it worse than it is in the original, but the edges along her arms and hands aren't clean - it kind of looks like she was cut and pasted into the picture. Also her face is a little soft - the color in her dress makes it that much more noticeable. -STC Link to comment
twmeyer 0 Posted September 2, 2004 is this a drawing of a dress or a portrait of a woman? Either you posted it in the wrong forum, or you need to rethink your photographic priorities. This should be re-titled "pink striped dress on the stairs".. t Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 2, 2004 S. T. - thanks, its actually the compression. Happy shooting. Link to comment
twmeyer 0 Posted September 2, 2004 No, not the compression, I'm commenting on the overwhelming pink stripes that you added or enhanced somehow, that seem to make this photo about the dress, even though your title indicates you think the subject is "Missy on the Stairs". If you want the picture to be about Missy, let the dress be secondary to her. With this brilliant pinkness, the dress, and your technique overwhelm even her sublime beauty... t Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 2, 2004 Tom - that was actually just a response to "S. T."'s comments. Link to comment
stchan 0 Posted September 2, 2004 Tom's got a point - have you maybe considered leaving her in color, and everything else in B&W. Maybe with another pic, as her face seems to be slightly out of focus here - this pic perhaps: http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2481330 Link to comment
