jmoody 0 Posted August 31, 2004 Does this look ok? I haven't done anything to it (other than shrink it a little for the web). Do I need to lighten/darken? Any thoughts on a black and white version? Link to comment
WJT 653 Posted September 1, 2004 It is a great composition Jeff, but you are overexposing along the axis of the two fronds (the middle one and the lower). I would still rate this photograph Very Good. Regards. Link to comment
jmoody 0 Posted September 1, 2004 That's what I was afraid of... Can I fix that with "curves", or "brightness" adjustments? In either case, thank you greatly for taking the time to comment! Link to comment
nher 0 Posted September 1, 2004 Very nice shot, Jeff. It should be a bit smaller and in my opinion it needs a frame. Thank you for your comment on one of my shots. Regards! Link to comment
WJT 653 Posted September 2, 2004 Hi Jeff. Yes, you can easily correct it using curves or levels. I would open a new Levels Adjustment Layer and play around with the sliders until the overexposed area looks right (ignore what the rest of the image looks like). Then I would use the Erase Tool to carefully erase and blend only the corrected parts into the main background image. The advantage to using an Adjustment layer is that, if you don't like what see, you can just dump out of it and start over. The amount of correction that I think you would need on this photograph is very, very small. Regards. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted September 6, 2004 Jeff, this one just screams for some PS work. Walter's advice is very good and worth trying. The lines are interesting on this composition and with a little PS work, this can be something very special. Well seen. Link to comment
amysn 0 Posted December 31, 2005 Very cool. Only thing (a pet peeve of mine) is that the photo is too tall to see on my monitor! And my resolution is set very high. Would be nice to see without scrolling. Link to comment
