Great one. Did you shoot it at "La source" hairpin ? I've seen a couple of photographers there.

Regards, Fred.

Great shot, I've seen many photograpers in that point of the track. I presume you are a PRO. Anyway good shoot, wish i was there.

Was this taking during the race, or Friday practice? The title indicates race, but one of your comments says Friday. If it was during the race, I may well have seen you on TV. Regardless of what day, it's a great shot.

Awesome idea! Awesome shot! I assume you set this up with Michael so you wouldn't lose your toes. The paint on the curve and the harmonious red and white theme makes it. The right side of the frame gets a little boring, so my only thought might be to crop it a little into the tires and the "Marlboro". Great shot!

It was taken during Friday practice session...I copied the caption I used for Sunday's race pix.

My toes where never in danger, I was hanging over the pitwall.

Not a bad shot for a Nikon :)

Great capture. As a previous commenter said, the colors are great.

Do you know how fast he was going by at that point? And what about some pictures of the winner, Kimi?

I guess they entered La Source with 50-60km/h and left it with 90-100km/h but I'm really not sure of this. Give Nikon 1 month and you Canon users will be jalous on the new Nikon D2x :-) I know Canon is a bit better for action photography and most of the time first to release better performing camera's. I'm mostly shooting other stuff than sports and Nikon is offering me way better service than Canon. Best Geert

Both photos are great captures considering the speed that they were going and how close they are to the camera. Congrats!

FWIW, I think that I might actually like the Kimi picture more for some reason.

And I can't wait for Nikon's reply to the new Canon cameras. I'm sure that it will be a great camera. The more competition, the better for us...

Nice Picture, I was going to give you some guff until I scrolled down, and saw Kimi too!!

7th Championship, but second to Kimi in this race!

Great shots!

I love the F1 GP nothing else like it... great photo's I truly envy u getting that close even through the shutter is increadible. I have to say like in every other race Schumacher has one another one... He really looks like he's popping out of the corner whereas Raikonen is just driving by. How does one acquire such great spots during the F1?

How time flies!! I remember F1 as flimsy designed "driver killers" in the early seventies..Ferrari was then an example of low wage, dirty mechanics who spent most of their time quarreling in the pits. Ferrari 512 pit stop I was next to at Hockenheim...A large funnel was placed in the gas tank filler opening. A mechanic opened a jerry can and fuel was slobbered into the funnel. This was dumped aside, screaming followed; another jerry can appeared, more fuel was slobbered in, spilling on the car and the ground, overlaid with continuous cursing and yelling in Italian...Those pits stops were as good as the race itself...and often just as dangerous.

I love to shoot F1 as well and had my hand at the Canadian GP but these photos are really something special. Great work.
