Nice to see you....I like this one of the new three...the pollution is almost poetic!

Yes I am back from a very nice vacation in Italy. Did last week spend a day on the Dutch coast in a place called IJmuiden. it does have this heavy steel industry. Interesting material for photography.

Hi Mike,The smoke realy has a presence here, and looks like clouds in the sky....I like all 3 of them, that one and the previous one are the strongest. Pnina

Well, this answers the question on your other post - if those were clouds or pollution. Guess this one says it all!

Yes Hans this is one macho shimney;)))

Howard and Kim, to be honest, polution is not my item here, but I understand the idea. I am fascinated by the difference of my reality and the world of heavy industry, at the same time I like to frame this in the aesthetic context of its own domain. The plum out of the chimney is steam, water is used to chill the hot steel. The other side of this plant seems to be very poluted, so there is terror, let see it as the beauty of terror.

I really like this kind of "landscapes". I think you could work on this subject for a lot of time and find many great images. Do you know industrial photographers earn a lot of money as well? :)

Thanks for the tip, industrial photographer, but I am to much a butterfly. For instance in my Italian Hollyday I did much on cooking and landscape. To be honest I tryed to sell some of my material to SHELL Netherland, work I did on Pernis refineries, but they let me know that they work with own photographers and freelancers, did not need new faces. Pitty to me but fair to the custom artists.

At least they answered! Last time I sent pictures to stock agencies I didn't even get a response :-)

we should try a stocklibrary ourselfs or even try to convince PN as an intermidiate. would be a nice collection and good competition to these arrogant formal stockholders ;)))
