Alwyn the Cat (M.I.A.)

Alwyn the Cat posed for this picture just before he disappeared.

 

I used a 40 watt light coming in slightly behind me and to my right

and very dim directional light slightly in front of me and to my left.

 

I was very pleased with the way his whiskers lit up on the left hand

side of the picture.

I'm a "cat person", so this picture appeals to me. I also know how difficult it is to get a cat to sit still and look in a direction of your choosing! Nice picture.

Tim, there are hundreds (thousands?) of cat pictures on here. I wonder why people think that snapshots of their cat are interesting. It's just a cat, and it's just a picture. Sorry.

Pretty cat. I'm amazed that you were able to get the cat to sit still long enough to take a picture, let alone look at the camera.

It's a portrait, just like the thousands of others. It's good composition and skill even if the subject is not original.
