nikonuser 0 Posted August 24, 2004 The lighting of this subject is very pleasing. There is shadow in the eye, cheek, and lips. The only problem is the detail of the lips - the paint is too full. Better either to be natural or to keep the paint only on the lips. The subject has her own beauty. She need not rely on make-up. The lighting, and her bone structure are sufficient. You are very good with lighting. Congrats. Mark Heseltine Link to comment
terry_paauw 0 Posted August 24, 2004 This is a great shot! I like that the window is a perfect catch-light in her eye. The shadow detail is perfect. And her sticking her tongue out adds a little humour to the shot. Awesome! Link to comment
d2f 0 Posted August 25, 2004 Let me guess the title is, A little Tongue? Overall the image is interesting but falls short on some minor technical aspects, but again if this is the image you envisioned it is OK. The eye contact is good but both eyes would have improved the connection to the viewer for a stronger emotional response. The tongue is different but doesn't do anything for the image in my opinion. The lack of separation on the right hand side of the face is a minus technically. All of which could have been fixed by having the subject turn her face toward the camera a little more, about 20 degrees. If you go the other way the image is also improved. Best of luck. tim_taylor4 0 Posted December 3, 2004 It's amazing what a difference can be done to a picture by having her stick out the tongue just a touch. It'd be just a standard portrait without the tongue. With - it's intriguing. I like it. Link to comment
juliusgrocholski 0 Posted January 20, 2005 I love the speck of light in her left eye, mysterious feeling to it. Great composition; if unaltered this is absolutely captured well, if digital- nice editing! Link to comment
