bexta 0 Posted October 9, 2004 Very nice composition, I like this angle, and the information provided. The dark entry on the left is a bit of a distraction as our eyes are led along the short path to the girls, and then up to the white/clear dome. The girl looks at something in her hand, we dont know what, but then thats the key to getting our brains into gear as to "what are they looking at?" Something small, fragile, in a large dome.. AH HA! Butterflies! But now that I am convinced it is butterflies, the black area on the right confuses me. But wait.. I notice there is a water fountain back there. So perhaps this unkown place signifies discovery and an unknown, enchanted, undiscovered world. Maybe the butterflies will lead, or have lead them to this fantasy world... who knows... The girls are inevitably dressed in contemporary clothes, yet the world on the right to me feels ancient - somewhat like a discription of the movie "the secret garden." I have to give it to you, this photograph here indeed sparks the imagination. I love the whole idea. I would love to see some other photographs like this one. I have noticed that your portfolio is all about expressionism; telling a story, and teaching us about issues you feel strongly about. eg the photo with the clock on the tree trunk (which i like very much.) Sensational!!! Link to comment
