heather_harvey 0 Posted August 26, 2004 Great composition! I like the use of the reflection. The only thing I think the photo could do without is the branch in the upper right corner... it is almost distracting, but I know sometimes it is just hard to shoot around that stuff anyway. Overall a really great shot though! Link to comment
mikestacey 0 Posted August 26, 2004 The opportunities presented by this scene seem endless. I think the image is a bit too busy and some aspects detract from what could be a dramatic effect. The reflection is great but clipped off. I think it would be great to spend some serious time in this spot and capture something really stunning. You use the same camera package as me and I'm sure you are as happy with the D70 as I am. Keep up the good work. Link to comment
terrybutler 0 Posted August 26, 2004 The horizon is in the middle which doesn't often work but here it does. Beautiful scene and nice photo. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 26, 2004 Nice at first glance but tree is a bit too centred for my taste...if u move slightly right tree would blend a bit more with the mountain adding some mystique rather than conveying scenery per se...Just my opinion is still very nice pic. 5/5 Link to comment
rucookies_tk 0 Posted August 26, 2004 I would like see to a vertical frame with the tree at the left edge framing the mountain. Your composition reminds me of traditional Chinese art - flat with many elements. Different than a western landscape. Link to comment
rucookies_tk 0 Posted August 26, 2004 ... framed from the current left edge to the tree butting against the new right edge. Link to comment
anna yu 0 Posted August 27, 2004 Beautiful scenery, I like the foreground here. One small objection is that the Chinamans hat is rather small in the picture, tiny little island on the right of the horizon, considering the title? Whatever. It's still a lovely picture with very skillful exposure. Link to comment
