really gorgeous. I love the silhouttes and the layered 2 dimensional look. Excellent

Superb shot. The shape of baloon is complementary with objects on ground.

I would crop out the lower right third of the picture and discard the rest.

Great tone and atmosphere in this photo. I can sense the warm humid morning of this place.

I rated this 10/9 - simply one of the best shots (IMHO) I have ever seen. Yet I tend to agree that Ed's cropping suggestion would 'improve' composition. Of course - just a thought, even if left untouched, this photo is hard to beat.

Holy cow

Having seen the same scene last time I was in Bagan, I am not as impressed as these other folks. Definately you need either to have the balloon higher, or you need to be lower to place the balloon in a more balanced position in the shot... or just crop off most of the sky. Then again, in my short time in Bagan I did not capture a shot of the balloons in this way, and I wish I had. I don't know, I guess I am starting to get frustrated with what I see as the tendency of people on Photo.net to rate things high if they can't take it themselves... they don't do macro, so they rate macro high, or they've never been to Bagan, so they rate it high. So, I guess all I am saying is, Bagan can be shot better than this.
