Lovely shot. The muted tones make the image. I wouldn't worry if it's a little more blown out than you had expected. More saturation would be too much.

Were I to be really picky I'd have rotated the image slightly to lower the left end of the horizon to be level. Fortunately I'm not really picky though so I say "top shot".

all the best

I was surprised when in the camera's lcd the image was soooo white. It was taken about 10 minutes before dawn, when the sky was very red, but the sun was below the horizon. I needed 8 seconds to blur the waves. I didn't have the nikon owners manual (coolpix 4500) with me -- I wanted an apeture of f16 or f22 to darken the sky in subsequent shots, but when in manual mode or aperture mode it limited at f7.5. Not sure why. Probably some setting I'm unaware of. Anyway, I appreciate the feedback, everyone!

I have a Nikon Coolpix and can never get an aperture any smaller than f8. To blur the waves without over exposing you would have to shoot when it is darker or use dark filters, (polarizer+ND filters. I would have taken 2 shots here.. 1exposed for the sky and 1 exposed for the rocks and merged them n Photoshop for a balanced exposure.
