petejr 0 Posted August 17, 2004 A pleasing composition that IMO could benefit from additional sharpening to make the castle masonary stand out more distinctly. Link to comment
etienned 0 Posted August 17, 2004 I' agree with you... F4.5 is not enought... And the sky is too white... Link to comment
petejr 0 Posted August 17, 2004 Etienne, IMO the castle detail can be enhanced with a bit of PS work. I've done a quick and dirty adjustment on the castle and uploaded the results. Some people like this effect, others don't. I left the foreground and the distant trees as you had them and only sharpened the castle. Link to comment
etienned 0 Posted August 17, 2004 Yeah! nice! how did you do that with PS? I'm not a PS Pro at all! Thx a lot! Link to comment
petejr 0 Posted August 17, 2004 Simple actually. Make a new duplicate layer, apply sharpening till the object you want sharpened looks right then apply a layer mask and either apply or brush away the areas that you want to change or to remain as they are. I just happen to use a plug in called FocusBlade to sharpen with but the same results can be accomplished with USM and some masking. Link to comment
