chetn 0 Posted August 17, 2004 Dramatic view point and composition, its unusual and is multi layered, this makes it so interesting. Link to comment
varjag 0 Posted August 17, 2004 Excellent view. The barbed wire and dark fog invoke associations with WWI chronicles. Link to comment
atkphotoworks 0 Posted August 17, 2004 Fantastic shot and use of the barbed wire fence. Certainly my favourite amongst the photos in this folder. Link to comment
artemisia 0 Posted August 17, 2004 I really like the light just manking visible what's important as in baroque paintings, finally a shot that allows Switzerland something more than a post-card. Link to comment
barreira 0 Posted August 17, 2004 Great composition and treatment of light. Congratulations. Link to comment
john_bourgon 0 Posted August 18, 2004 That's all I can say. Who would have thought to have taken this shot? Amazing prespective. You asked for progressive comments. I have no offering. The shot is so original that constructive critique is beyond me Link to comment
jenny_schr_der 0 Posted August 18, 2004 This is so aggressive. The tension is marvellous. What a picture Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted August 19, 2004 Excellent, B&W and composition. GReat DOF, dramatic lighting. You ask for critique: ok, if digital I would have tried to pull out some structure out of the cloud on the left side (somewhat empty space here). Regards, Carsten Link to comment
maria conversano 0 Posted August 20, 2004 I like so much the great prospective in this picture. Amazing B-W! Link to comment
edward_osborn 0 Posted September 4, 2004 I also thought immediately of WW1. Very evocative... Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted September 12, 2004 This is intensely moving. The fence line is perfectly leading our eye through the view before us. The depth of the valley below is hidden at first until the eye, following the fenceline, suddenly catches the reflection of the river at the valley floor. The clouds hanging in the air on top of the mountain beside and around you manage to mask the element of serious height until the moment when it all comes together in our minds. Perfect photo. Phil_Light 795 Posted October 30, 2004 Spectacular light and depth. You have incorporated perfectly the elements of composition which draw the viewer right into the scene. Then you've executed this scene superbly as the B&W lends an aire of drama to the image. Great moment to have "snapped" the shutter! Link to comment
long_hoang1 0 Posted May 3, 2010 This is one one of the best photo I had ever come across. The exposure is just perfect. It looked mysterious and majestic. What was the exposure and shutter speed for this photo? I would like to attempt this photo if I happen to come across a scene similar to this one. Thank you for sharing. Link to comment
