faisal_sayeed1 0 Posted August 15, 2004 Took this photo with a inferior lens wide open at 2.8 hence the soft edges. Needless to say we must do with what we have! Your comments are always welcome. Link to comment
wernher 0 Posted August 16, 2004 Normally a portrait taken from this perspective would suffer because you are looking up the subjects nose! However, in this case it is not in the least bit distracting - the girl's pretty features and intense stare makes this shot aesthetically very pleasing. I also like the high key background - no clutter to draw the attention away from the subject. Well done. Link to comment
faisal_sayeed1 0 Posted August 16, 2004 Mr.Wherner:You are absolutely right: Nostrils in a portrait is a big no, no. I would never pose a grown-up model in this way but sometimes children's portraits can break the rules. BTW your work is exceptional. Faisal Link to comment
sabretalon 0 Posted September 6, 2004 It is the eyes on this image that drag you right in there and take notice, surprised you don't have that many comments on this one! The softness you talked about seems to add to the overall image look rather than take away. Probably cropped a little too close to the bottom but it does work. Glenn Link to comment
