The keeping hand..

Len, Some background. That image is a part of my exhibition about the Ethiopian Jewry culture, which is the 7th year an educational program that travels in Israeli schools. It is my most rewarding work ever, and took me 2 years to create.The bible, as you probably know is very much THE part of Jewish /Israeli heritage and culture.Seeing that special beautiful, ancient book guarded by that Kess( Rabbi) for 60 years! was very moving for me! and I have asked him to put his hand on it, as I saw it as a symbol of the bond between man and the book of books,as well as the book that passes from generation to generation, again a symbol of our cultural History. Thank you very much for inspiration. After 3 years sins I saw yor work, I made similar shot during my neighbors Bar Mizvah. His speech was written in Yidish. I must tel you it exceed all my expectations. His father was so happy. Kol Tov. Shmuel.
