Superb saturated colors and exquisite detail. The four benches and tables add an interesting touch.

I'm glad to see that your work has abated to the extent that you can upload new work. I really like this shot. Good perspective, fantastic colours, great sharpness and clarity. I was thinking that maybe the lighthouse should not have been center but then I realised that because of the placement of the other buildings this is the only "correct" composition. Good job!

I'm glad that you liked that shot. As you, I was thinking about not having the lighthouse dead center like that so it is not the only shot of it I took. However, because of the other buildings and because of the presence of the picnic tables in the bottom part, this is the only one that was worth putting. As per my work load, it went down a little but not that much! It is just that I was on vacation for the last 2 weeks so I had time to upload some stuff the past weekend. I took about 1300 photos in the last 2 weeks so I should have a couple to upload in the following weeks. Keep looking for more as I expect to put at least 1 or 2 a day for the following weeks. Regards.

1300! That's the brilliant thing about digital isn't it? I'll keep an eye on your portfolio.

Cheers, Wernher

Yup... Digital is nice for that. And since I shot mostly all in RAW, I enjoyed the portable hard drive. But I also took some traditionnal film. There is a couple that I'm proud of so I will upload them eventually.

This is a nice shot...one of those you feel like you're there shots... If I changed anything, I wouldn't have cropped it quite so close on the right and top.

Your choice of an overcast day was wonderful -- the gradation of light between the sky and the water results in very little demarkation and thus results in an almost 'seamless' background -- sky and water tied together.

You have elegantly used the colors in this photo, and the proportions of each are stunning. Your exact placement, choice of lens and lens extension, angle of view are all extraordinary and I am doubtful if there was a better photo to be taken. Also, the color here is topnotch.

Regards to a fine photographer for a fine photograph (as are the other photographs in this folder).

One mark of a good photograph is that it holds the viewer's attention, and draws the viewer in. Here you have drawn the viewer from foreground to background and back again -- and done so superbly. Wonderful job.
