Perseid Meteor Shower

airwinger

Tried to get something from the Perseid Meteor Shower but although I saw about 5 I did not capture any on my camera as there were to many fast moving clouds. Here is one photo of many I took of the stars as the clouds passed over carried by quiet a strong wind. This was taken on a 30 second exposure at f2.4. Comments please.

Well that's what I set out to photogragh only it was too cloudy. I

did see about 5 shooting stars but not the right times to get a photo

of them. I was using a 30second exposure and my sony then takes a

further 30 seconds to process the image. Not sure why but that's its

way. The clouds around the stars were low and moving quiet quickly

and I think the colouring is due to street lights even though I was

about two miles up a country lane and in the dark.

Thats pretty cool...you ended up with a good shot, even without the meteors. I actually went up the canyon the other day when the Perseid shower was supposed to be very visable, but I didn't get any good shots of the meteors either. Do you know what kind of setting should have worked best? I was getting the feeling that the meteors just weren't bright enough for my camera to pick them up... any thoughts? Did you happen to try this again this year?
