This is fairly recent. I've only been working with studio strobes

for about 5 months.

Since I have very little knowledge of strobes, please consider this more of a general impression than a "critique," per se. I think the lighting overall is a bit flat (for my tastes, anyway), however I'm really struck by the definition of the model's stomach muscles- very beautiful. Also the shadows under her breasts are quite nice. I like the diagonal slant of the pose as well. A very nice photo, I just think it would benefit from a little more contrast.

Try a grid spot (will really give muscles and curves definition) about 10ft to the models left, then bounce back soft fill from her right. You may even try a reflector (or a low w.s. strobe) up and above her right shoulder to seperate her a bit. You really ought to try and add some dimension.

 

I think the pose and shot are wonderful. Her lips and downward gaze make it more interesting. I like that you have some hot spots on the hat.. its a studio shot
