dag 0 Posted August 9, 2004 Beautiful lighting and great contrast! maybe a little overexposed?! A little crop on the left side could aid this great shot :D. Link to comment
erikadams 0 Posted August 9, 2004 I agree - crop on the left to create symmetry with the right. The asymmetric element will then be the model. Nice backlighting. Link to comment
dmitri_zakovorotny1 0 Posted August 10, 2004 Very good, but too much details on background for me. Link to comment

barreira 0 Posted August 10, 2004 I think like Dmitri Zakovorotny: there are many things behind the girl. Anyway, great photo. I love the light. Congratulations. Link to comment
uk_wanderer 0 Posted August 10, 2004 Great shot. Do you have access to using the girl and the door again? I would like to see the same pose from a different angle. Maybe this would bring in a little more sky.I would also like to see the pose shooting down. Maybe using a set of steps. This would bring in a little more building.Had you considered cloning out the cables ? Never the less, a great shot. Link to comment
tomhallphotographycom 0 Posted August 10, 2004 mm mm mm. Beautifull model, great location, interesting lighting, maybe a bit "busy" surrounding but I like it. Well shot Link to comment
d2f 0 Posted August 11, 2004 If this were my shot I would use photoshop to remove some items from the background, like the line above her head and the object just to her right. They pull attention away from her face. The overall technical is good, but the pose is forced and can be improved by relaxing the pose and have the left foot slightly turned to the left to follow the leg line down. This in turn forms a leading line for the eyes to follow up to her face. With the foot turned towards the camera it drives the eye downward to the foot. Another problem is the bottom of her dress is the lightest area in the image and draws the eye to it. Eyes are attracted to light (and sharp) areas of the image. This area has both elements and draws attention away from her face which is the focal point of the image. Touch it up with photoshop and this problem will be a thing of the past. Link to comment

maxhaynes 0 Posted August 12, 2004 I would clone out the dark folds of fabric near her crotch. I wouldn't touch the ackground though, it provides a great contrast to her. I'd say a good title would be Olympic Gold. Link to comment
wim.ipenburg 0 Posted August 18, 2004 Very original picture Alexander, perfect model for this scene and a super location. You did a very, very good yob here. Hold this level in future please! I can only rate with 7+7 for this. Greetings, Wim. Link to comment
colin_downs 0 Posted October 2, 2004 Composition, pose, lighting and colour are all excellent. If it were my shot I would be asking why I didn't open up a couple of stops to throw the background out of focus a little. Having said that the composition of this shot is so strong it takes quite a while for ones attention to be directed to the background. I'd be very proud to have the picture in my portfolio.
