august 2004 Returning To That From Which I Came

This Oriental Lily had been used for previous shots, as it dried and dwindled away the idea for this photo came to mind.

The colors are natural, just as the flower as dried. The photo was made on flocked vinyl to absorb stray light from the single 5000k lightbox used for exposure. ISO 100, 10 seconds at f32.

... the ground. Great shot and moody theme/title Rev. A little dark for my tastes but good all the same.

Outstanding image. I love the sparse mood of the image. I have no comment other than I wouldn't change a thing.

 

Well, one thing. The border. I would use 2 pixels for the white and a bit smaller on the black. A bit to big for me. Not part of the image I know but still part of the presentation.

 

Border aside, an outstanding image.
