I can't comment on the full res version because I haven't seen it, but the eyes have a decidedly fake appearance in the image I am seeing (oversharpened). It is nonetheless a very nice image and a wonderful concept.

Wow, this is the kind of photo that immediately attracts attention. It is simple yet sophisticated. I just love the expression on the boy's face.

Cedrico & Erik- Thank you for the lovely comments. It was a fun exercise in Photoshop play:)

Justin- I must agree, I also find it to be very difficult to judge any web image for much other than color, composition, general focus, aesthetic wow value & originality. I remember taking this image. Ethan (# 2 grandson) was about 2 (he's 5 now). He was recovering from being ill. It was late evening (thus the warm tones). We were leaving his home when he decided to jump into my husband's truck & play peek-a boo out the back window. It was very cute because he got so tickled with the game. I took several pictures. I had recently returned from Ireland. While waiting at the Dublin Airport I snapped the opposite image through the glass as I waited. (I believe it was Dublin, but I did take a few at the Shannon Airport too). Anyway, the expression on his face immediately reminded me of how frustrating it can be when one travels. Thus the title, "Are we there yet?" came to mind. I was a Photoshop Novice at the time. I knew very little. This was taken with a 10D, so the file was rather small & it was NOT shot in RAW format. I was also a novice with digital SLR cameras. Pure dumb luck I captured much of anything at all :) One morning, as I was honing my P/S skills, I conceived this idea. It was no more than a learning exercise, just to see if I could do it. I believe this simple little exercise took me a few hours to accomplish. Today, it would take me little more than a few minutes. I have found the more I know the less I need to use P/S. Not that I don't enjoy it, I do, but I have moved along into a different direction with Corel Painter. I think I did print this once, but I never printed it to frame. Since then I've learned a lot about shooting in RAW & saving my files in .TIFF. I've had several computer crashes & changed computers probably 4-5 times since then. As the files got larger, the graphics card had to get much more sophisticated & the hard drive bigger :) Sadly, I believe this one maybe lost forever in the hard drive of some old crashed computer of mine. I still do not have a fool proof system of saving files, but I do have several portable hard drives I back up onto. So hopefully the loses can be minimized. I appreciate your opinion & thank you for your observations. Just thought you might like to have a little background on this particular image. I personally find the creative process almost as fascinating as the images we capture :) If I had it to do over again, I would have taken an image of the side of a plane, making it more believable. But then, the city scape of Dublin would have been obscured & made the image less interesting & I think less thought provoking by the viewer :) SO in the end, it was the right image at the right time :) Thanks for commenting, I appreciate your thoughtfulness :)

WOW!!!!!! You definately captured a jewel on this one. I don't know a parent or in my case grandparent in the world that can not identify with this one. What can I say ..Picture Perfect..
