davidroossien 0 Posted August 8, 2004 This seems a little out of balance to me...but it's tough to decide how much background to include on these types of shots. tradeoffs... Link to comment
arond a. 0 Posted August 16, 2004 The subject is 'snow.' Why shouldn't it feature snow? Simple, yet expressive. When looked at in context with your portfolio, it makes more sense. It falls into place with the rest which speak collectively of your unique way of seeing. Link to comment
louise bridge 0 Posted January 6, 2007 I like the way the photographer and the snow together swallowed up those background elements: fence, stone gatepost, staircases, big front doors, the same way that the snow itself has swallowed up all but the heads of the double-headed parking meter. I think the composition is gorgeous here because what it leaves out in the background implies the absence of what does not show in the foreground, which is that which is snowed under. This image does a great job of showing exactly how much is missing visibly. Link to comment
toshio 8 Posted January 6, 2007 Thank you for the comment on my photo. It is really a pleasure to find out that somebody knows exactly how I felt at the original scene and how I was going to express the feeling in the final image. Thanks again. Toshio Link to comment
