medina photography cherry 0 Posted August 8, 2004 As far as panning goes, great shot. Other than that it seems somewhat static to me. Sorry. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 9, 2004 Background obviously post blurred as it does not match wheel spoke rotational speed. Blur wheels with radial blur in PS. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 10, 2004 Juha's comment about the background blur not matching the wheels is correct, but I don't recommend more work in PS as this image has been Photoshopped far too much already. The color temperature of the car doesn't match that of the background or foreground and almost makes it look like a diecast model. I know the effect you're trying to achieve here, but it's done in camera not in post-processing. From your portfolio I can see you've got a good eye and work at your photographic craft, but panning shots, like what you've tried to achieve here, are not easy and even with with practice you'll get a lot of discarded shots, but it's a technique worth developing if you want to shoot more subjects like this. jon_betancourt 0 Posted August 12, 2004 It is true, you spent too much time in the digital darkroom. Great idea but it does look die-cast. It does take time to get those shots and please try to work harder on that. Try shooting cars on the street or next to a busy highway, behind barriers, to get the effect down. Link to comment
