Not a bad first attempt! I think the photo could benefit from some cropping and adjusting levels in PS. Also, the focus is a little off, which makes me wonder whether you were on a tripod.

 

Overall, however, not bad. All the basic elements of a great shot are here - they just need a little "tweaking."

 

Good photo, but my eye is too attracted to the negative space at top. I want to see the splash first. Tighter crop with less space at top and right would focus more.

Nice try, but could still use a bit of work.
