davidmccracken 2 Posted August 4, 2004 Your thoughts, comments and suggestions are most welcome! I like this even though it is rather simple! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 4, 2004 Nice Still Life (Almost abstract) Composition. I like the tittle. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 4, 2004 It is always nice to receive encouraging comments. These comments mean more when the come from someone like you. Thanks indeed! PS. I pride myself on my titles...... some of them anyway! Link to comment
rochelle_ballard 0 Posted August 4, 2004 I agree with Pedro, and I like the simplicity of this shot. Your title, is as always, imaginative. Link to comment
acearle 1 Posted August 4, 2004 Great shot! Almost makes me want one, even though I hate the stuff, lol :-D. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 4, 2004 I do like this picture myslef and so it is nice to find people who agree with me. The inspiration for this came from looking at photographers on this site who combine 2 hobbies.... photography and 'whatever.' It took me a long time to think of a hobby worth photographing. In the end, the answer was staring me in the face! Beer! So watch out for more beer related photos soon! Thanks for looking! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 4, 2004 Which is it you hate..... Beer or Budweiser? Beer is like sex. When it is good it is wonderful. When it is bad.... it is still OK. (Poetic licence applied for!) Thanks for looking! Link to comment
pete_larson 0 Posted August 4, 2004 I like how you caught the pattern of drops, in fact, it would be interesting to see the patten itself without the label underneath. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 4, 2004 Interesting comment Pete. I really don't know how to respond. Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted August 4, 2004 I love it! Colors and detail are great, and the water drops just make it so inviting! A/B would be proud! Link to comment
owen_omeara 1 Posted August 4, 2004 David: An idea I have tried over and over again but not with this degree of success. I am looking at the subject as we speak. -Owen Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 5, 2004 Jayme, thanks for the kind words. I have tried this with a few different cans but it was this one that came out the best. I may post others later. I will be posting other photos with a can theme soon! Thanks for looking. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 5, 2004 To achieve success with this image is very difficult. They say practice is the answer. However after 42 attempts the room was spinning, I couldn't focus my eyes, never mind the camera. I guess I got lucky. Seriously! This is one of these images that I like myself and it is good to know that someone like you likes it too! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 5, 2004 Jayme, you are right....... but the headache the next day is no fun! Link to comment
advancedphoto 0 Posted August 5, 2004 Great lighting and detail. Scotch is still my preferred photographic subject as the beer never lasts as long on a hot day. Simple and effective, the bottle "sweat" makes it. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 5, 2004 Glad you like it! Only one thing.... It's a can, not a bottle. Thanks. Link to comment
advancedphoto 0 Posted August 6, 2004 Ohhh, that changes everything. I don't like beer from cans. :-) Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted August 6, 2004 Next time when you attempt something like this, I'll be more than happy to assist you, making sure to share your next morning overhang ^_^ I do like the water droplets and the side lighting. Can probably be part of an ad campaign! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 6, 2004 Hey Wilson! You had the chance! Next time my friend..... next time. I am glad you like this. As I said to Owen, when a photographer I respect likes a photo that I like, it makes me happy. Strange as this may seem, I don't like all the photos I upload. A lot of the time I am looking for feedback! Thanks for looking! Link to comment
davidnoblephotography 0 Posted October 2, 2007 How on earth did you get away with this blatant piece of product placement!!? Great picture though... makes me thirsty just looking at it. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted October 3, 2007 An interesting comment about product placement. I had a whole series of can placed between various girls' legs. They were removed from the site. I feel sure you would have liked them better. Link to comment
