What do you think about these harsh shadows? And the

background/foreground simmetry?

The thing that I really like about this photo is the exposed rock. To me it really looks like a lions face looking out over the hillside. In my humble opinion as far as technical details go, the image seem a little over-exposed, it seems to bright. The rock in the lower left seems to distract from the rest of the photo because it's brightness is so different from the the rest of the photo. Also the sky is a little washed out, a polarizer may have helped. If you have some Photoshop skills you may want to try adjusting the levels, and contrast, and if you are really ambitious try replacing the sky!
