shaun perry nz 0 Posted August 16, 2001 I was impressed with the colour that came out of the slides when I first viewed them. This is my favorite flower shot so far - please critique this and provide any comments - Thanks Quote Link to comment
jairo_leiva 0 Posted August 16, 2001 I like the colors and DOF in the background. Maybe more details on the stem will enhance it more Quote Link to comment
jwedehase 0 Posted August 16, 2001 Looks like you needed a macro lens. I also just started working with slide film. Coincidentally enough, I also chose Provia. I had many of the same results you did. High contrast, easy to under expose. I didn't seem to get the brightness out of the film until I went into full stark daylight. Provia seems to be very much a daylight film. Here were my results the second time around: http://www.cam360.com/multimedia/gallery7.html There are a couple OK shots in there. These are all from the same roll of film. Quote Link to comment
kasigi 0 Posted August 17, 2001 I am an avid shooter of slide film for macro work. The exposure looks dead on in the above shot - good job there. Provia is nice film but if you really want the super bright colors in shooting flowers go for the Fuji Velvia. One more technical issue - the last petal in the back is a little fuzzy - maybe put the camera on a tripod and stop the lens down a little more. But still I like the work. Quote Link to comment
