I've seen this sort of picture with feathers done to many times. It sort of looks like a close-up shot of a sheep giving birth.

I saw exact photo on cover page of Elle. I think it was photo of Daniela Pestova. It looks nice but you should use your own ideas, not copy others.

If this looked like a close up of a sheep giving birth, we'd have more sheep farms and veterinarians. Charbonette, really now...what a comparison...

 

This is beautiful, and I agree with the suggestion of a greater tonal range, stretching the beauty of the image even further. High notes do have volume. Very nice.
