The Other Side of the Pond

Taken recently at a local pond. The opening across the pond is a

favorite fishing and rock skipping place.

Lovely mood shot Pete. The slight blurry effect works well here.

Pete ... I shot at Sibley on Sat morning about 7:30am ... I walked and shot all around the pond. I even remember looking out from this location ... but not seeing it from this perspective. Good eye! I really like the mood and composition of this shot.

Thanks guys, I love to hear feedback. Pat, sometimes I'll not see what the finished shot will be until I get to my "darkroom". I hold dear the Adams guote where he says that the negative is the score and the print is the performance. That's why I enjoy so much the after shot interpretation. I really like the contrast in colour of the gren trees and the orange/brown of the bank. Really nice.

Normaly I consider manipulating.

But treated this way with care and skill the picture becomes a delight.
