The light is interesting . . . almost like a long night time exposure. I assume you've either underexposed it by a fair amount or fussed with level or curves in PS.

That's not how I remembered it, Alec, but what the heck ... you did a great post-processing job and it looks good. :)

Jammy, there is a bookstore in Bodie Park which sells a history booklet about this town and it is very interesting.

 

Yes Carl, the lighting was very harsh and bright so I did underexpose it and the polariser did make it darker

 

Bob, a pity you didn't bring your polarising filter, otherwise you'll probably have similar results when we were there.

Very strong the supersaturated colors, I love this old-fashioned scenery. The framing is always a matter of taste, I would prefer a thin white line surrounded with a wider deep blue - Regards, Carsten
