AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted September 30, 2004 Good DOF. I feel there should be more space given to the front flower, and less stalk on the background one. The middle just seems too empty. Link to comment
ictalurus 0 Posted October 1, 2004 Crop the back flower out. I suspect that what you should have done is to change the angle of the shot - move the camera lower so you can get both into the frame without having to move the front flower so low in the frame. It is a coneflower - genus Echinacea - and whoever rated it 2/2 probably has allergies. Link to comment
iamontheinet 0 Posted October 1, 2004 Biliana, Aaron, and Mike - I appreciate your comments and suggestions. Mike - Correct me if I am wrong but what you are suggesting is along the same lines as Aaron. In other words, if I'd lowered the camera angle I could have given more space to the flower in focus. And the lower angle would also have lessened the 'empty' space between the two while exposing less stalk on the second one. Well, in my opinion, that would have created just another photograph of a flower. Not that I think this is the best shot of a flower; I just think that the frame and the composition makes it kinda unique. What say you? Thanks in advance. Link to comment
